Establishment Background
This department, with forward-thinking vision, has designed a series of courses targeting the needs of future communication media. In addition to professional training in audiovisual production and written reporting skills, the Digital Media Group also strengthens expertise in virtual production technologies, such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data, in order to cultivate a new generation of talent skilled in both the theory and practice of emerging communication technologies.

The Digital Media Group centers on "Creative Communication and Professional Technology," with a strong emphasis on the importance of using new technologies for innovative communication in the age of media convergence and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Therefore, we are dedicated to cultivating students with diverse media content creation abilities, including professional skills in media production, news production, and social media editing. Our graduates find employment opportunities across a wide range of fields, including traditional media, new media, the film industry, virtual film production, and the application of AI in media.Additionally, our department offers rich media teaching resources, including a virtual studio, professional recording studios, multimedia cloud post-production platforms, editing and color grading rooms, and equipment management rooms—specialized media teaching spaces exclusive to the department. Through a combination of theoretical and practical coursework, students benefit from extensive hands-on training with professional hardware and software provided by our teaching facilities, ensuring that our curriculum emphasizes both theory and practice.In recent years, the application of Metaverse technology in media has become increasingly mature and stable. The group is actively collaborating with leading industry companies (such as Jianda Company) in industry-academic partnerships. Through guidance and training from top-tier production technologies, we help students gain a competitive edge in the job market for new media technologies. Our goal is to train well-rounded media content creators who are equipped with comprehensive training in traditional media, new media, and emerging technologies, enabling students to meet the challenges of the future media environment.
